GENIUS
Badges
readers
The GENIUS access control network
supports several types of
badge readers and controllers. |
|
 |
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Controller:
integrated into the reader or installed at a distance of up to 10 m in a case with a battery-backed 12V power supply.
A controller supports 1 or 2 readers.
The controller enables the reader and central unit to
communicate.
Upon request, the controller contains its own data base and can operate alone in case of communication failure.
Linked to a badge reader, it can be connected on a RJ connection with its own IP address. It communicates on a devote network.
The badges readers:
The badge readers contain a card to which the following can be connected:
- A 2-line by 16-character alphanumeric display with backlighting.
- A badge read head of the selected technology.
- A 12-key keypad, which is made vandal-resistant
if the reader is installed outdoors.
- Input contacts (detection loop, push-button, presence detector) and output contacts (opening control, signalling, etc).
- A 12V DC power supply.
- Input/output cards:
connected directly to the bus and pro- viding increments of 16 status or control addresses. They are programmed and managed by the central unit.
